Wansheng Juchang Chinese Acrobatics

We ended our first day exploring Beijing with a spectacular Chinese Acrobatics show. We were allowed to take pictures, but unfortunately, my camera died during the third act. The show was truly amazing. Human bodies should not be able to do all of the things these performers did. I didn't really like the acts that were based mostly on contortion - though they were amazing - but most of them were more focused on balance, strength, training and talent. Truly amazing. Here are a few pictures:

The gymnastics and human towers would have been amazing even if they hadn't been spinning ten plates balanced on ten sticks (each).
And, yes, at the end, they dropped all the plates so we could see they weren't attached!

this was the boys first act - they must have springs on their feet. Eventually, they have FIVE rings and one of the tallest boys flipped through the top one. Sometimes they flew through at different angles two and three at a time!

After they jumped through, they made a wall over which the next jumper had to flip!

She balanced and spun these umbrellas one at a time. Eventually, she picked up the other two in her hands as well!!

What an amazing show!
