Phnom Pehn - the city

Some views from Phnom Pehn, the capital city of Cambodia:
(Some are blurry because they were taken from a moving vehicle)

a busy intersection
on the streets you'll find motorbikes, rickshaws, cars, bikes and even some coconut carts
licence plate with English and Khmer writing
an easy and comfortable mode of transport for tourists and locals alike
these tuk tuk moto rickshaws patrol the streets looking for passengers
a Cambodian man dressed in the traditional sarong
how much can you fit in/on one truck
(notice the second layer of people under the boxes!)
left from colonial times, parks and tree lined avenues give the city a quaint, green feeling
signs for the Cambodian People's Party are everywhere - it is the current governing party
We happened to be there on election day and so most people we met had a dark blue index finger.
After seeing a few, I asked what it mean.
Simple - they had voted. It required a fingerprint.
a beautiful mosque near the area of our guesthouse
that's one way to advertise
murals for guesthouses along the wall of the backpacker ghetto where we stayed
